Where did we leave poor Joseph last week?Yes, in prison for a crime

　　我們上個(gè)星期講到哪兒了?對(duì)了。

　　He did not commit. And Joseph was busy serving in that prison. The Lord was blessing Joseph there, just as he was in the home of Potiphar.

　　約瑟雖然沒(méi)有犯罪，卻被關(guān)在監(jiān)牢里。約瑟在監(jiān)牢里忙著坐監(jiān)。但神向約瑟施恩，就象從前在波提乏的家里一樣。

　　One day Joseph met two new prisoners. They were the chief butler and chief baker of the king of Egypt. One morning Joseph noticed both the butler and the baker looking unusually gloomy. Then they explained to Joseph that each of them had dreamed very strange dreams the night before and the dreams were bothering them, because they could not understand what they meant. Joseph said, well, doesnt God know the meaning of your dreams?Tell me about your dreams. So the butler began to relate his dream to Joseph.

　　一天，約瑟遇到兩個(gè)新來(lái)的囚犯。他們是埃及王的酒政和膳長(zhǎng)。一天早晨約瑟見(jiàn)他們看起來(lái)很憂愁的樣子。他們告訴約瑟，他們每一個(gè)人昨天晚上都作了很奇怪的夢(mèng)，讓他們非常擔(dān)心，因?yàn)樗麄儾恢缐?mèng)的意思。約瑟說(shuō)：解夢(mèng)不是出于神嗎?請(qǐng)你們將夢(mèng)告訴我。

　　In my dream I saw a vine and the vine had 3 branches that made blossoms, and then grapes. I dreamed I had Pharaohs cup in my hand so I took the grapes, pressed the juice into Pharaohs cup and gave the cup to Pharaoh to drink.

　　酒政便將他的夢(mèng)告訴約瑟說(shuō)，我夢(mèng)見(jiàn)在我面前有一棵葡萄樹(shù)，樹(shù)上呢有三根枝子，上頭的葡萄都成熟了。我夢(mèng)見(jiàn)法老的杯子在我手中，我就拿葡萄擠在法老的杯子里，遞給他喝。

　　Oh, said Joseph, Your dream means that in 3 days Pharaoh is going to call for you and give you your place as butler again! But, please, when you go back to the palace, remember me.

　　約瑟對(duì)他說(shuō)，你所做的夢(mèng)是這樣的：三天之內(nèi)，法老肯定讓你出監(jiān)牢，叫你官?gòu)?fù)原職。但是你得好處的時(shí)候，求你一定記得我。

　　Well, Im sure the butler promised Joseph he would do that very thing, if Joseph were right about the dream. The baker was encouraged as he heard the good meaning of the butlers dream so he was eager to tell Joseph his dream also.

　　我相信酒政肯定會(huì)向約瑟保證，如果他的夢(mèng)解得對(duì)的話， 他會(huì)記得約瑟。膳長(zhǎng)見(jiàn)夢(mèng)解得這么好，就也很想把他的夢(mèng)告訴約瑟。

　　I dreamed I had 3 white baskets stacked up on my head. In the top basket were all kinds of delicious pastries and breads for the king. But then there came some birds and they began to eat the bread out of that basket.

　　他說(shuō)，我在夢(mèng)中看見(jiàn)我的頭上頂著三筐白餅，最上面的筐子里有為法老烤的各樣好吃的，有鳥(niǎo)飛來(lái)吃我頭上筐子里的東西。

　　Oh, Im sure Josephs face looked very sad as he answered the baker. Your dream means that in 3 days Pharaoh will also call for you, but he is going to hang you on a tree, and the birds are going to eat your flesh.

　　我想約瑟在對(duì)膳長(zhǎng)說(shuō)話的時(shí)候一定很難過(guò)。約瑟說(shuō)，你的夢(mèng)是這樣的，三天之內(nèi)，法老也肯定讓你出監(jiān)牢，但他會(huì)把你掛在木頭上，有飛鳥(niǎo)來(lái)吃你身上的肉。

　　You see, 3 days later it was Pharaohs birthday and he made a feast for all his servants. During that time, he restored the butler to his job, and the baker he hanged on a tree.

　　到了第三天，是法老的生日，他為所有的臣仆設(shè)擺筵席，把酒政和膳長(zhǎng)從監(jiān)牢里提出來(lái)，使酒政官?gòu)?fù)原職， 但把膳長(zhǎng)掛起來(lái)，正如約瑟向他們所說(shuō)的話。

　　Now what was the butler supposed to do as soon as he got back to the palace to serve Pharaoh?Thats right, he was supposed to speak of good word for good old Joseph! But can you believe he FORGOT all about Joseph?Joseph waited Day after day, month after month, and not even a thank-you note from the butler.

　　回到王宮以后，酒政應(yīng)該作什么呢?對(duì)了，他應(yīng)該在法老的面前為約瑟說(shuō)說(shuō)好話。但是他卻不記念約瑟，竟忘了他。約瑟等了一天又一天，一個(gè)月又一個(gè)月，都沒(méi)有消息，甚至連一封感謝信都沒(méi)有。

　　Two years went by. Joseph was still there in prison. Was the Lord STILL with him?Indeed He was! The Bible tells us that after two full years, the king of Egypt had a dream, and such a strange dream that it really bothered him the next morning. He called for his magicians and wise men. but oh, my, they studied and discussed the matter back and forth and scratched their heads. And they still could not tell Pharaoh the meaning of his strange dream.

　　兩年過(guò)去了，約瑟仍然在監(jiān)牢里。神還與約瑟同在嗎?當(dāng)然!圣經(jīng)告訴我們，過(guò)了兩年，法老做夢(mèng)，而且是很奇怪的夢(mèng)。到了早晨，法老心里很不安，就差人召了埃及所有的術(shù)士和聰明人來(lái)。他們把法老的夢(mèng)研究來(lái)研究去，抓破了腦袋，也沒(méi)有辦法告訴法老這夢(mèng)是甚么意思。

　　Why couldnt they tell Pharaoh about that dream?Because God didnt tell THEM about the dream. You see, God knows not only all our dreams, but also our thoughts, our words, our deeds. He knows when we sin and do those things that do not please Him. The best thing we can know about God is His perfect Son Jesus, Who came to die for our sins and become our Savior from sin. We know Jesus rose from the dead and is in Heaven now, ready to save anyone who calls on Him. Thats good news and God tells that good news to everyone. But there was something God was NOT telling. He was not telling what that strange dream meant.

　　他們?yōu)樯趺床欢畨?mèng)的意思呢?因?yàn)樯駴](méi)有告訴他們! 你知道嗎?神不但知道我們所有的夢(mèng)，他也知道我們每時(shí)每刻在想什么，說(shuō)什么，做什么。當(dāng)我們犯罪，或做不討他喜悅的事的時(shí)候，他也知道。我們知道神賜給我們最好的就是他完美無(wú)瑕疵的兒子耶穌，他為我們的罪死，成為我們的救主。他又從死里復(fù)活，現(xiàn)在就在天上。他要拯救任何求告他名的人。這真是一個(gè)好消息，神把這個(gè)好消息告訴每一個(gè)人。但是有一些事情神卻沒(méi)有說(shuō)。神在這里沒(méi)有告訴人這么奇怪的夢(mèng)是什么意思。

　　Suddenly the chief butler exclaimed, Oh, I do remember my faults this day! Im sure the king looked at the butler with great surprise. But then the butler went on to explain.

　　突然，酒政對(duì)法老說(shuō)，哎呀，我今天想起我的罪來(lái)。我想法老聽(tīng)了這話一定很奇怪。酒政就解釋給法老聽(tīng)。

　　Well, boys and girls, you may be sure the king of Egypt wasted no time sending someone to go get Joseph out of prison! Quickly Joseph cleaned up, shaved, changed his prison clothes and they hurried him straight to the king.

　　法老馬上派人去叫約瑟，他們便急忙帶他出了監(jiān)，他就剪了頭、臉刮干凈、換了衣裳，來(lái)到法老面前。

　　I have dreamed a dream and no one can tell me what it means. I have heard that YOU can understand dreams to tell the meaning of them, Pharaoh said to Joseph.

　　法老對(duì)約瑟說(shuō)，我做了一個(gè)夢(mèng)，沒(méi)有人知道是什么意思，我聽(tīng)人說(shuō)，你聽(tīng)了夢(mèng)就能解。

　　Now, Joseph could have answered proudly and brought all the attention to himself. But how wisely, how humbly he answered the king! No, I cant tell you the meaning of your dreams. he said. But then he added, But God will give you the answer. Joseph very wisely gave God the glory.

　　約瑟本來(lái)可以很自豪地回答法老，使他自己成為注目的中心。但是約瑟非常謙虛地對(duì)法老說(shuō)，我可不會(huì)解夢(mèng)。然后他又說(shuō)：而神會(huì)給你答案的。

　　So Pharaoh began to tell his dream. In my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile River. Suddenly out of the river came 7 fine, fat cows. They walked over to a field and began to eat grass. Then 7 other cows came up after them. They were the ugliest, skinniest cows ever. The 7 skinny cows went and ate up the 7 fat cows, but then, they were still as skinny as ever. Then I woke from that dream, and fell asleep again and had another dream. In the 2nd dream there was a cornstalk with 7 full and good ears of corn on it. But then there appeared 7 thin, withered ears of corn that ate up the 7 full ears. Oh, my, how strange! What can all this mean?Joseph was very thoughtful, for God was showing him everything about those dreams. Then very clearly and wisely Joseph spoke. The king, God is showing you through these dreams what He is about to do. You see, the 7 fat cows and the 7 full ears of corn stand for 7 years of great plenty. However, after that 7 years of plenty will come 7 years of such terrible famine that you will forget all about the 7 good years.

　　這樣，約瑟很巧妙地把榮耀歸給了神。法老對(duì)約瑟說(shuō)，我夢(mèng)見(jiàn)我站在尼羅河邊，有七只又肥壯又美好的母牛從河里上來(lái)，在蘆荻中吃草。隨后又有七只母牛上來(lái)，又軟弱又丑陋又干瘦，我沒(méi)有見(jiàn)過(guò)這樣不好的。這七只瘦母牛吃了那以先的七只肥母牛，吃了以后卻看不出是吃了，還是那樣丑陋和干瘦，我就醒了。然后我又睡著了，又作了一個(gè)夢(mèng)。我夢(mèng)見(jiàn)一棵麥子，長(zhǎng)了七個(gè)又飽滿(mǎn)又佳美的穗子，隨后又長(zhǎng)了七個(gè)細(xì)弱的穗子，這些細(xì)弱的穗子吞吃了那七個(gè)飽滿(mǎn)的穗子。多么奇怪的夢(mèng)! 這是什么意思呢?

　　Joseph went on to explain to Pharaoh, because the dream came twice means that God has established that this will happen and it will happen soon. What you should do is find a man who is discreet and wise and set him over the project of gathering food during the 7 good years. And put it in storage, so that when the 7 years of famine come, there will be food for your people.

　　神將夢(mèng)的意思告訴約瑟。約瑟就對(duì)法老說(shuō)：王阿，神已將所要做的事指示給你。七只好母牛和七個(gè)好穗子是指七年豐收。隨后又要來(lái)七個(gè)荒年，甚至在整個(gè)埃及都忘了先前的豐收。法老兩回做夢(mèng)，是因神命定這件事，而且必很快成就。所以法老應(yīng)當(dāng)揀選一個(gè)有聰明有智慧的人，派他治理埃及。當(dāng)七個(gè)豐年的時(shí)候，把糧食聚集起來(lái)，積蓄在倉(cāng)里。當(dāng)七個(gè)荒年來(lái)的時(shí)候，你就有食物給人吃。

　　Pharaoh and all his servants recognized the truth and wisdom of Josephs counsel. And he said, I am now placing you in charge of my household and of all the people of Egypt. Only I myself will be higher than you in my government.Before Joseph could realize all that was happening, he was dressed in kingly robes, with a gold chain about his neck and the kings own ring on his finger. The king gave him a lovely young lady to marry, and Joseph set right to work on the project of organizing and gathering food during the 7 good years. God working out all his trouble like this!

　　法老和他一切臣仆，看到?jīng)]有人像約瑟這樣有聰明有智慧。法老說(shuō)：好，我派你掌管我的家，治理埃及全地。我的民都聽(tīng)從你，只有我一個(gè)人比你大。約瑟還沒(méi)有意識(shí)到怎么回事，他就給穿上了華麗的衣服，把金鏈子戴在他的脖子上，法老還摘下手上的戒指，戴在約瑟的手上。法老又賜給約瑟一個(gè)可愛(ài)的女子為妻子。在七個(gè)豐年的時(shí)候，約瑟負(fù)責(zé)收集埃及地的糧食。你看，神就是這樣把約瑟從災(zāi)難中帶領(lǐng)出來(lái)。
